It is a day before Chinese New Year. On the eve of CNY, most of us will be having our reunion lunch/dinner with family. The time of the year where we usually gather at one place to catch up and have one meal together for the day.
And yes, like everyone else, I had my share of reunion dinner this year. Been through Facebook pictures of various reunion lunch/dinner pictures which everyone seems to be posting. A trend.
This year though, my reunion dinner table was quite happening. The cooks prepared plates and plates of food to feed 11 adults and 4 children. They did not even know that they've prepared so much until they came out to see the table.
Chu Keok Suen (Sour Pig Legs? lol)
Chinese Sausages!
Fried Prawns
Mushrooms with Broccolis
Fried Siu Yuk (Y)
Duck
Mix vegetables
Ju Hu Char (Y), my favourite dish on the table.
Taught by my late grandmother. However, the one she cook still has no competitor. Tiada bandingan. It was the best. Miss her ♥
And the way to eat that is to wrap it in fresh salad. It tastes really really good. I will be contented even I were to only eat this for a meal or two.
After dinner, the kids were entertained by various games of small fireworks to which they were really excited while the adults just sat around the living room and chill. I was in between the age group, so I went around drinking carbonated drinks, eat snacks and watch the kids play. lol.
How was your reunion dinner?
Hope you've had a good one! Looking forward for the actual New Year tomorrow! Because for single / unmarried people like me, it means....angpous! Hehehe! My yearly bonus =P
And that's me wishing you Gong Xi Fa Chai! Hope I've gotten those Mandarin writings right. And, Night Fury from How to Train Your Dragon made its appearance in the poster because (1) it's the dragon year in the Chinese Calander this year; (2) It's so cute that I couldn't resist putting it up in the poster greetings; and (3) I suck in drawings. Hence, copy paste images. lolHappy Chinese New Year!

Anne, I bet it was equally nice. It's mostly the company that counts (and maybe some part of it is the delicious food served too!) :) Happy CNY to you too! Cheers!
