Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Award | My Nuffnang Story

I have been with Nuffnang since 2008 and still counting (haha. I just realised that I've been with them for 3 years!). Don't quite remember who influenced me to sign up with Nuffnang (it was probably Chester Chin's influence).

As I clearly remember, my reason for joining Nuffnang was to check on my daily/weekly/monthly blog hits. Not knowing about the additional cash that it allows bloggers to earn, events and screenings that we comes with it, and the opportunity to meet other people within the social media community.

My very first event with Nuffnang, if not mistaken, was District 9 screening in August 2009.

Some of the invites which I still have. Realised that the others are not to be found at the moment. It's high time that I find them for safekeeping :0

And later, I have joined various other movie screenings whenever I can make it and if I were given the chance to win them. i.e. Prince of Persia, Sherlock Holmes, Avatar, A Christmas Carol 3D, New Moon and many others.

Aside from the movie screenings, 2011 marks the first time ever that I've won in a contest as big as the Astro B.yond PVR contest, a one-year free subscription. Happy news, because I've never been so lucky to win anything this big before. First time and it was one of the best 21st birthday gift ever! ♥

Along with the opportunities given by Nuffnang to attend events, I've met many new people from the blog-sphere. Something which you don't get to do everyday.

Where I got to sit, get to know and simply hangout with people like Richard, Henry, Isaac, Choul Yew, Choul Yin, Joel, Shaun, Benjamin, Jayren, Sherina and many more. It's all about getting to know new people, expanding my network and I'm really happy to have been given the chance to do so. All thanks to Nuffnang for such opportunity!

I have not attended much events because I don't usually go for dress-up events / clubbing / drinking / any events in the heart of Kuala Lumpur mainly because it's not really my thing although I would love to attend some of it, some day, and most of the time I'm really not up to driving in the heavy KL traffic or sit the train (KTM in my case, and I guess you can pretty much guess why).

Well, that's not exactly the end of the story because, there are more to come! And I could really kick off by attending Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 (#napbas) which is happening:

Come 16 December 2011, 500 bloggers from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott. The Awards aims to not only honour the region's best bloggers, but also to bring together blogger communities from across Asia-Pacific. The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards is brought to you by Volkswagen Malaysia and Putrajaya Marriott.

Yup! They've had it back in 2009 but I could not attend it, so this is really my chance to participate in my first ever formal-dress-up dinner/event with Nuffnang to create yet another memory not only with them but also fellow bloggers that I've recently met and known.

Really hope that I do get to win the invite and be part of this prestige event (which will be every bloggers' EVENT OF THE YEAR, no doubt!). It's not everyday you see a blog award event where hundreds of blogger gather at one place, nicely dressed and awards were given to them for their efforts right? Right? Right? :D

So yeah, the very reason why I would love to be a part of it all. It would be a tale to tell and so, I would not want to miss it. Missed out my university's prom night for Westlife concert this year - another reason on why I would love to go. What's more, it's going to happen the Friday before my internship starts (on Monday), all the more reason to celebrate the end of my exams and the end of my semester break as a student, with style!

Well, not only me but my friend Sze Lynn too so then we get to dress up and go together! Do hope we both get the invites (that is until she writes her part of the blog post *pressuring her* :P).
