Life with tests..

Life is sure getting busy every day..sigh..

There's so many assignments and exams to look forward to starting from now especially from everyone's favourite subject, Foundation of Business(FOB). =S

Just sat for FOB paper today. One question, 20 marks. wtf. But it was okay I suppose. Quite a straight forward question. Just hoping that I actually related my answers with what the question wanted and hoping that Ms.Tana will think that way too. *pray pray play*

Next to look forward to is English for Business and Management Studies (EBM) on this coming Thursday and also Study Skills on SATURDAY! Yes, I have my finals for Study Skill on a SATURDAY! wtf.

Anyhow, back to study..
tata..

Talks and More Talks

The Investor Training Program talk was held today at MPH, Sunway University College.
It was one long hell of a talk. About how what we as investors should look for in a company before investing. Ratios, economic profits, & etc. Not too bad. Didn't get blur through out the talk because the speaker was saying things that I understand. lol.

Got a bit fed-up half-way though. Not because of the speaker but it's because of the guy in front of me who kept moving left and right to talk with his friends and using a piece of paper to shield his head from the sun! *hurgh* damn frustrating.

After the first talk by Mr.Tan Teng Boo, which lasted until around 11 o'clock in the morning. Had a short break before the second talk starts. But Sonia, Kin Lim and I decided to go for the talk on the "Challenges of Today's Internal Auditors", at our favourite lecture theater, LT6.
The main reason for going for this talk and skipping that investment talk was actually to learn something about internal audit which is something that is related to our Principles of Accounting's assignment. Was hoping to get some information on it because DO NOT know anything about it. Not knowing anything and needing to do an assignment on it gives me a huge headache. But this talked helped a little. At least I got some direction and know where I should start searching from.

PS: Being an internal audit also seems quite an interesting pathway too. >.<

After the internal audit thing, we went back to MPH hoping to catch the last talk, but we missed it. dammit!
Deric was there, not listening, but waiting for the boring talk to end and most importantly, waiting for the Lucky Draw which they said the prize was 3 emobile cell phones.
  • 3rd prize: basic mobile phone
  • 2nd prize: a phone that can fit two sim cards
  • 1st prize: a phone has a television function.
Nice prizes BUT too bad we weren't lucky enough to win anything. [=(] Kin Lim and Sonia each won a notebook though. Haha..

On YouTube.

Something my sister found on AAR's website. Watch the video till the end, and spot the girl in pink.

it's me!!!
hahahahahahahhahahahahaha..

It's already week 6 of classes. Another week and we'll get our mid-term break. It is a break, but more like a break that is full of assignments. wtf. Anyhow, I seriously need a break. I need to sleep! buhhhh...

Going for an investment talk related to investments tomorrow in Sunway Uni from 8.00am till 1.30pm. Anyone interested? XD

Will write more about it on my next post.

Distracted.

Happy 19th Birthday Chester!
Sudah tua setahun lagi..haha..

I am suppose to be starting on my FOB's (Foundation of Business) assignment NOW but here I am, sitting right in front of the computer, wasting time and in an attempt to increase my eye powers. wtf.

There's so many source of distractions available on the computer plus internet and one of them includes Facebook. @#$%^&

Facebook have this serious strong power of distractions. One could just sit in front of their computers for hours doing nothing but just stare into their computer screen which displays Facebook page on their web browser. Checking and waiting for updates of friends comments, status and playing games to break high scores, in bejewelled for example are some of the things that we can do to pass time. And time passes really fast when you're on Facebook. Without realising it, you would just be spending more than an hour of you day 'kepo'-ing in there. Well, probably this only applies to me. haha.

Now I have also found a new source of distraction playing a game called
Virtual Villagers, an offline game where you have to teach villagers to make a living for themselves and find a way out of that lost island. Lame I know, it gets quite addictive when you want to know the progress of your virtual villagers =.=

Classes have been normal so far. We still have that '
speed' class going on whether or not we like it. Some people actually like her for some unknown reason. She's probably okay outside classrooms but certainly not inside classroom because I can see that she enjoys torturing us with essays. I think a 14 week semester is indeed too short (but they consider this as a long semester) because we have rush into stuff and in the end most of the lessons will get all smudge up.

Seriously couldn't wait for next week as it would be a week that we call the mid-term-week.
THREE exams in one week and TWO assignments is expected to be hand up. Have not studied and still having one assignment pending in hand. I am so screwed.

With all the distractions and issues that is stuck in my head now, I wonder how am I going to survive the week. Gaahhhh....

Tuning your Eyes

If you are part of Nuffnang, you probably have seen their blog notice on "Exclusive Online Deals from Ogawa just for You" that was posted on the 9th of August (haha. very long time ago).
Ogawa is having a Mega Raya sale from the 15th August till 30th September. Most of their items are on 50% discount except for a few selected ones which are on up to 70% discount sale.

Their great raya deal really attracted my attention. So today I decided to go to One Utama to check out their Eye Tune and Eye Touch which both are on a 70% discount. The after discount price is something that I can afford so that's why I decided to go and have a look. Besides, my eyes is feeling very tired this few days. Sleeping as long as 8 hours or more doesn't help at all =( Hope my this EyeTune thingy will help.
In the end, I got the Eye Tune which cost RM60 more expensive than the Eye Touch but it have better functions. Costs only RM180 (Retail Price: Rm699) with this Raya promotion. It is really a great deal.

The Eye Tune have quite a number of functions.
  • Relaxing massage.
  • Mp3 player functions.
  • High tech-infrared heat producer that activates cells around the eyes.
  • Air pressure to protect and maintain healthy eyes.
  • etc..
(Information gain from the user manual)

Check out OgawaWorld for more information about their product and their current promotions. Or check out Nuffnang for further information about Ogawa's Mega Raya Sale and to get the discount vouchers if you're interested XD

Remember, promotion ends on the 30th of September(next week)!

*runs off to test my new toy*

Update: The promotion is extended till 24/9/09 More info on Nuffnang's website.

Ps: I am not paid to write this. haha.

20.09.2009

It's another special date today if you haven't notice :D We'll have another two in the coming two years but after that, not for another millennium.

On another note, I really need to buck up like seriously. I have not been doing anything productive for the past few days. which is really stupid. 6 essays to finish up but haven't touch any of them. 1 assignment to be hand up on the 29th, find informations for 3 assignments. None of it is DONE. wtf. When I come to think of all the things that I have got to do, I feel very tired. I need a break, but it looks like I won't get one. Sigh..

"University life is so much better than schooling life."

Who ever said that is a liar. School life is so much better. At least we get to plagiarise all we want to and no one is there to give a damn. No worries about anything at all. Schoolwork don't do also no one will care. lol.

I don't find wearing uniforms to school everyday a problem at all since now I find it a trouble to keep searching for what to wear everyday in my wardrobe and making sure not wear the same cloths twice in a week. wth. School is still the best! Sigh..I miss those school moments =(

Selamat Hari Raya!

It have been a month now since the fasting month started.

And now, Hari Raya have comewhich marks the end of the month of Ramadan of another year.

Every Ramadan month, the one thing that we look forward most is the 'Pasar Ramadan' that they have almost everywhere. This is where we can find lots of food and drinks that we don't usually get to buy it during normal season unless you cook or buy them somewhere (which I don't know where).

One of the food that I like most would be 'tepung pelita' and also 'murtabak'. Only got to eat them twice this time around though since most of the time its either I am lazy to drive out to buy or I'll be back late from university. But twice is better than nothing la. XD
Guess, I'll have to wait for next year to eat them again :D

The other thing would be house visiting that we sometimes have. Hope this time around I would have the time to spare to visit my Muslim friends houses with all the hectic university life that I am into now. It's been a long time since I last met them. It would be nice to meet them up before they're off to uni again.

So then again,

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
to all my Muslim friends, teachers and readers.
hope you will have a great one this year just like all the previous years!

Have a save journey back to your hometown.
Cheers!

Speed of Light.

It's Friday again.

Today's class only last for 1.5 hours and that also so many people skipped especially those from ACCA and some-other-course-that-I-couldn't-remember. hahaha.. Teacher also didn't really teach. Just a short briefing about our assignment and telling us that we don't actually have to attend Friday class in future if we actually use that time to do assignments at home. That would mean, Friday is my off day! Wheee~

Anyhow, after that 1.5hours moral class, I went to the library to do something productive. Start working a little on my accounting assignment and also finished the Moral assignment part 1 that I have got to do. There's lots more to do. Don't think I'll have a good holiday after all. Sigh..

On another note, I have been meaning to write this for quite some time but couldn't find the time to write it down >.< It's about our FOB lecturer. She is so much worst off than the Imaginary Teacher we had last time, seriously.. She don't teach in class but practically just summarising and tips-ing us. And she expects lots of examples in an essay. I'll have to open up a book on examples =.="

You can easily get stressed up in her class. She goes as fast as the speed of light during lectures. One lecture one chapter. Don't even know what I gain also sometimes. Then at the end would be questions, past year questions. Now I have got 6 questions in total pending which is to be passed up on Wednesday. wtf.

One word: Sucks.

Cannot do anything also. Will just have to bear with her until the end of semester. Heard that students will usually get her for two semesters for two different subjects. wtf.

If you would have gotten the same teacher that we had last time in TARC (for economics and also business) then I bet your perception would change >.<

Am I right?

Refreshments.

Last class ended at 5pm today. Had 3.5 hours break before that because accounting class canceled. I attend the last class la, but some people just decided to ponteng and go back earlier since we got to waste 3.5hours waiting for the last class which last only for an hour.

Being a GOOD student, I attend class la. Spent the 3.5 hours eating lunch for a while then ended up being at the cybercafe first to look at the guys playing Counter Strike but in the end I on a computer for myself. wtf.
Then at 5pm attended a talk organised by the newly formed Accounting Society. The talk was about Economic Profit thingy presented by Mr.John Lee, some VIP in KPMG (I forgot what already la.

Informative talk. Learned something new la. But basically lots of jargon as usual so got quite lost at some part but later I think I clarified my confusions XD

After the talk, they told us that there were some refreshments for us. For the very first time, these refreshments are not those usual donut-kuih-sausage-or-whatever-usual-stuff-you-can-think-of. This is
    damn
high class! Just take a look for yourself:
Not only look nice, but taste good too. Good as in really GOOD! Especially the pie-look-with-spaghetti-sauce-taste one. And the white sauce thingy. Damn nice. haha.

Never had such a nice refreshment served before, this would probably depend on who is the host and the guest invited la. lol. High class people served high class food. lol. That was my dinner and I find it fulling >.<

Ended up reaching home at around 9pm due to the heavy traffic at LDP in the rainy weather, then I went to send card to a teacher of mine and talked to her for a bit.

Tired *yawn*

Consolation.

Received a letter from GSC today!
I have won a consolation prize in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince contest that they had few months ago.

Damn lucky weh! I now can't even remember what was the slogan about and what my answer was. haha. I am sure Andrea's slogans are better than mine and she sent lots more entry (I only sent one. lol). I have concluded that they random pick the contestant la since I am sure so many entered and probably won the same category of prize. Lucky! >.<

Although the prize is just a bookmark and a postcard (I would actually find having the notebook more useful), but to think again, I am actually more happy with the thought of winning than the prize la. It makes me feel happy XD

wheee~

What gentleman does?

Any of you who have listened to the radio or probably read the newspaper few days ago would probably know about the incident that happened during the MTV Videos Awards last Sunday night.

You don't?

Well, apparently Kanye West went on stage, snatch the microphone from Taylor during her speech after having to win a best female video award for "You Belong To Me" and stating to the crowd that Beyonce's video deserve the award better than Taylor's.
*****************
"I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day," Taylor said with surprise. "I never thought it would happen."

Kanye suddenly appear on stage, snatch the microphone and said, "Hey Taylor, I'm really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

He then return the microphone to Taylor and walked away, leaving Taylor speechless and having the feeling of humiliation on stage. The crowd then stood up and begun cheering to keep her spirit up and boo-ed whenever Kanye's name was mentioned.

*****************

A very good example of a gentleman..

He made few apologies which includes apologising through his website and also through some talk show. It seems that he is going to take a break for now to reflect those things that he have done that night. But I think, the damage is done and everyone will remember what he have done that night whether or not he isolate and reflect his wrong doings.

The worst thing is, that he humiliated a 19 going to 20 year old girl. This is also her first ever award and Kanye really made it memorable for her. Something that I think she would remember for life. Seriously.

But thanks to Beyonce who later won an award, Best Video Award for "Single Ladies," invited Taylor back on stage to finish off her undone speech earlier. *claps*

Many might think that Taylor did not deserve to win this award at all BUT to think again, this award is really based on votes. You voted for her to win, so why rant? Even if you didn't vote for her, why didn't you made more effort of voting the one you like? -.- So, quit ranting and just accept the fact.

And yes, I love song sang by Taylor Swift.

Separate Ways.

That's another two in the -what suppose to be a huge- group that is going off to continue their studies in this month of September. That makes it four in total for now and still counting.. Sigh.. I don't think we can ever organise a big big 'yamcha' gathering among us ever again since all the yamcha people is going off already. At most, I think there will be about 4 people attending not including all those FFK-ers if we ever organise one in future. Damn sad case =x Well, this is life isn't it?
"There will always be a goodbye with every meeting." (is it quoted that way?lol)
like what people usually say. That statement is true, but parting is always painful. It's never nice to part with people you're close to. NEVER!

Anyway, Paik Hwa, although we have grew apart since you moved to Sri Cempaka after Form 3, we are still friends and hope this friendship will continue forever =D Hope you will have lots of fun cutting humans up there in UK. Hope you will have a save flight -which is scheduled tomorrow- there and not forgetting to wish you a very good luck in whatever you are pursuing there. Hope you'll finish up your degree, be a doctor and give us free treatments if we ever need one in future. haha. Do keep in touch! There is also Ming Guan who is going in a week time. Good luck to you too. Hope we'll see you in some media in future debating about some economic stuff or you coming up with some new theories (which will most probably kill the younger generations because there is now one additional theory to learn.haha)

To the both of you, update your blogs with your happenings in UK to keep us update XD Remember to keep in touch. Hope to see you all whenever you're both back here in Malaysia for your break or not we'll meet up in 3-5 years time when we have all finished our studies.

Will miss you all dearly and I know you will miss me too.
hahahaha...

Hilarious videos.

You just have to watch this and tell me how is it. It's damn funny. Just don't take those jokes into heart. It meant no harm. Cheers!

"Don't laugh or they will lose their ego. Just take the condom and cut it into half."

Here's another one.

Just something to release stress >.<

Good luck to you (Paik Hwa) in doing your degree in UK. Have a save flight there. Remember to always keep in contact with all of us here! XD When you return for a holiday or something, remember to call us out for yamcha or something. Don't ever say you're busy! Haha. Save flight!

09.09.09

Just reached home from uni at 9.10pm.
First time staying back until so late in university, some experience huh. The view there at night is also nice with the lighting and stuff. Finished Study Skills assignment. LoL. Only got to know yesterday that, it is due next week. That's also told my the lecturer or else we wouldn't be bothered to find out also. hahaha..

If you would have realized today's date is special in its own way.
09.09.09
Nice figure (buy toto. lol) It is said to be the last set of one digit dates that we'll see for a century (until 2101) or a millennium (year 3001) [source]. We might not be here to wait until then, so this is like the one and only time that you'll experience this thing happening.

That website that I have stated above in the [source] button has lots of interesting stuff about this date. Things about what the number 9 means, maths equation related to the number 9 and some historical facts. Go to the website and read the article to find out more XD

Hope you guys have had a nice day!
Will update soon if I can :D

Rocket Launcher.

She comes in, open the book, start talking like a she's on some rocket on the way to space, give us what I call "tips" and she call "teaching" and that's it for the day's lecture.
wtf.

That's is what I can tell you about our Foundation of Business subject. Supposed to be a nice and interesting subject because it is really like Business Studies but then having this sort of people teaching me, I am going to hate it even more. hurgh..

Today's class was as bad as always. She taught one whole chapter in about one hour in a one and a half hour class then out of no where gave us some past year question to do that is to be passed up next Monday. lol. I didn't even get much knowledge of her 'teachings'. More of like she's doing a summary of the whole topic for us to listen and giving what she call tips for final exam.

It seems that she ENJOYS torturing us with essays and tests and anything she can think of.
*shrugs*

She misses me!

Andrea finally admit that:
You see?
I knew that all along...
hahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahah...

Loyalty.

This is what loyal customers get:haha!

Yeah, I went back to TARC yesterday to take the bloody reissued Statement of Results by the bloody Cambridge. Ran some errands.

Then bought food at aunty's shop in Canteen 2. Haha. So long didn't go there. Her menu also changed a bit already. She didn't recognise us at first, but after a while she was like "Ah girl! Long time no see, long time no see". Then she added the tauge and more rice for me. In the end I didn't finish it also. Pai seh, pai seh.. And we didn't forget to eat the "LSB" ice-cream also XD
